| Service Technician |
|
The Service Technician is responsible for performing the required daily service and maintenance checks and completing the required preventative maintenance schedules on the equipment.

 |
 |
- Adhere to the company’s safety and health policy.
- Operate the lube truck in a safe and productive manner.
- Service equipment fleet daily which includes fueling, greasing and daily service checks.
- Perform the required preventative maintenance schedule on heavy equipment and trucks.
- Maintain the oil, fuel and antifreeze quantities on the lube truck.
- Ensure that each piece of equipment is properly serviced and ready to be place back into production at the start of the next shift.
- Read and interpret equipment’s maintenance manual.
- Follow directions from immediate supervisor.
- Work together as a team to complete the task.

 |
- 1 year experience as a service technician, light duty mechanic or has received training as a diesel mechanic.
- Valid Class A Driver’s License, with clean driving record
- Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Must have a full understanding of the types of oil used in heavy equipment and trucks
- Understand how to retrieve oil samples from equipment components.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Have the ability to schedule and coordinate work efficiently.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of the operation of various pieces of earthmoving equipment/trucks and trailers.
